Register today for the 20th TACNY Celebration of Technology Awards Banquet, presented by the Technology Alliance of Central NY and the Technical Societies Council, as we recognize the outstanding contributions of the following:

  • TECHNOLOGIST OF THE YEAR - Mike Williamson, Critical Link (A resident of Central New York who has made recent outstanding contributions to advances and improvements in a STEM field, not limited to engineering.)
  • YOUNG TECHNOLOGIST OF THE YEAR - Josh Withrow, Lockheed Martin (A resident of Central New York, 35 years old or less, who has made recent outstanding contributions to advances and improvements in a STEM field.)
  • STEM COMPANY OF THE YEAR - Critical Link (A Central New York STEM company that has made recent outstanding contributions to new or innovative products, processing technologies, or productivity leading to enhanced business.)
  • STEM PROJECT OF THE YEAR - U.S. Navy E-2D Advanced Radar Processor (ARP), Lockheed Martin (A current outstanding technology project, invention, or process designed, invented, or constructed in Central New York.)
  • COLLEGE EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR - Amber Bartosh, Syracuse University (An educator who has made outstanding contributions in STEM Education at the college level in Central New York.)
  • HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR - John Herrington, East Syracuse-Minoa CSD (An educator (Grades 9-12), not necessarily a teacher, who has made outstanding contributions in STEM Education at the high school level in Central New York.) 
  • ELEMENTARY/MIDDLE SCHOOL EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR - Sue Sobon, East Syracuse-Minoa CSD (An educator (Grades K-8), not necessarily a teacher, who has made outstanding contributions in STEM Education at the elementary or middle school level in Central New York)
  • STEM OUTREACH, INDIVIDUAL - Howard Van Horn, Lockheed Martin (A resident of Central New York who has increased interest in science or technology or expanded opportunities for people with limited access to science or technology.)
  • STEM OUTREACH, ORGANIZATION - Community Library of DeWitt & Jamesville (An organization in Central New York that has increased interest in science or technology or expanded opportunities for people with limited access to science or technology.)
  • LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT - Dr. Daniel Thomas, SRC, and Jim Day, Lockheed Martin

Adults: $40 (open seating); Students (K-12): $25 (open seating); Reserved table of 8: $320

Keynote Speaker: Mike Hertzendorf, Chief of Staff NUAIR Alliance
Mike is the Chief of Staff of the NUAIR Alliance, a non-profit located in Syracuse, N.Y. NUAIR is responsible for managing one of seven FAA designated Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) Test Sites in the U.S. at Griffiss Tech Park and under the Upstate Revitalization Initiative develop Central New York into a global center and leader for UAS technology.

Prior to working at NUAIR Alliance Mike spent 29 Years in the U.S. Army as a special operations aviator. He has over 20 years of command and leadership experience. His last role was as the Chief of Staff of the 82nd Airborne Division.

12’ by 5’ exhibit space is available (with table, chairs, tablecloth, and utilities) for $200.

Reservations for exhibit space will be accepted through FRIDAY April 5, 2019
