Entering a New Age of Discovery

Syracuse University physicists and their colleagues in the LIGO Scientific Collaboration have done it again. Their team efforts, with the assistance of scientists from around the globe, have led to another significant breakthrough that marks the dawn of a new age of discovery in helping us better understand the origins of our universe.

Join us at the reveal of this revolutionary new finding.

Syracuse University, the College of Arts and Sciences, and the Department of Physics cordially invite you to participate in this important announcement and celebratory event to be held at 9:55 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 16, in Goldstein Auditorium, Schine Student Center.

There will be a live press conference, remarks from special guests and an in-person Q&A discussion with Syracuse physicists.

A reception with light refreshments will be held immediately after the event in Goldstein Auditorium.

The entire campus community is invited to attend the announcement of this transformative scientific discovery.
