Six teachers have been chosen by the Technology Alliance of Central New York (TACNY) as outstanding teachers who excel in science, technology, engineering and mathematics education. These teachers will be honored May 3, 2013, at the 25th annual TACNY Outstanding Teacher Awards Banquet at the Ramada Inn in Liverpool, where they will receive a plaque and a check up to $1,000.
This year’s honorees are:
- Greg Flick - Earth science teacher at North Syracuse Junior High School
- Rebecca Loy - special education teacher at Minoa Elementary School
- Jason Fahy - science teacher at Pine Grove Middle School
- Jamie Hefty - science teacher at Pulaski Senior High School
- Christy Fahey- inquiry support teacher at Woodland Elementary School
- Linda Trippany - science teacher at Lincoln Middle School
