SyracuseCoE’s May Research & Technology Forum, will feature a presentation from Clarkson University Distinguished Professor Goodarz Ahmadi. Ahmadi will cover advances in airflow simulations, modeling and analysis, highlighting examples of how respiratory viruses like SARS-CoV-2 are transmitted in indoor environments.

SPEAKER:

  • Goodarz Ahmadi is a Distinguished Professor and Endowed Robert Hill Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Clarkson University. He specializes in fluid mechanics, turbulence, multiphase flows, particle transport, dispersion, deposition, and removal. Ahmadi is a Fellow of ASME, ASTFE, and IAAN. He was the recipient of the ASME Freeman Scholar Award and the Clarkson Lifetime Research Achievement Award. He has published four books, over 850 journal articles, and 1350 conference papers and presentations. His Google Scholar h-index is 87.
