Much of what GreeningUSA has been doing since the 2023 annual meeting has involved the proposed Micron Chip Fab development at the White Pine Business Park in Clay, NY. A highlight of our work these last twelve months has been to foster communication and coalition building amongst like-minded organizations in CNY in order to synergistically rise to the sustainability challenges that central New York’s biggest development project in the last 100 years presents. It is only fitting that our 2024 annual meeting theme is “Coalition Building for Sustainable Communities.”
Lenny Siegel, Executive Director of the Center for Public Environmental Oversight since 1994, and formerly Mayor of Mountain View, California, will be the featured speaker. He has visited and provided technical environmental assistance to scores of community organizations across the U.S. At the annual meeting, Seigel will dialog with participants, including members of the newly formed Sustainability Coalition that will be formally unveiled at the meeting.
The meeting will also include presentation of GreeningUSA’s “Sustaining Our Community” 2023 awards which recognize people, organizations or projects demonstrating leadership and commitment to sustainability embodied in GreeningUSA’s 12 Traits of Sustainable Communities.

PARKING INSTRUCTIONS
- Please be prepared to park on the street. There is street parking available on East Fayette, East Washington and Genesee Street
- Parking in the lot directly in front of the CNY Philanthropy Center is reserved for Central New York Community Foundation guests and cannot be guaranteed for event participants
- Please do not park in the lot adjacent to the Philanthropy Center in front of Joseph’s at the Carriage House. This is a private lot and your car will be towed
- There is a Syracuse Parking Services surface lot is located within a block of the building-you may enter on East Washington Street, next to Jazz Central
- A covered parking garage is located at 300 East Fayette Street,
