Atherosclerosis is a condition of age-related macrophage dysfunction that affects every older person, a problem that is only partially addressed by the present standard of care centered on lowering of LDL cholesterol in the bloodstream.
New approaches are needed to enable the scientific and medical communities do better than the present 20% reduction in cardiovascular mortality.
Reason is co-founder and CEO of Repair Biotechnologies. He is the founder and writer of Fight Aging!, a leading news website in the biotech community. Reason is also an active angel investor in the space. Previously, Reason was principal software engineer at technology startups. Reason has Masters degrees in Space Physics and Astrophysics.
